At Vital Health Support Services, Autism assessments are conducted using a comprehensive approach that includes the ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition), ADI-R (Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised), and ABAS (Adaptive Behavior Assessment System). These assessments are carried out by our registered psychologists who use these diagnostic tools for a precise diagnosis. The ADOS-2 is a standardised observational tool that assesses social interaction, communication, play, and restricted and repetitive behaviours. The ADI-R is a structured interview conducted with parents or caregivers to gather detailed developmental history and behavioural information. The ABAS evaluates adaptive functioning across various domains, such as communication, social skills, and daily living activities. This multi-faceted assessment ensures a thorough and accurate diagnosis, facilitating tailored interventions and support plans for individuals with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder).
